I’ve put together a list of 30 things you can do to improve your marketing. One per day is achieveable and can be replicated too. If you’d like to improve your marketing in 30 days, this is for you. And if 30 days feels a bit intense, why not start with two things a week and see what a difference that makes.
These tasks cover various aspects of marketing, including social media, content creation, customer engagement, and analytics.
Week 1: Social Media and Content Planning
- Day 1: Audit your social media profiles – Ensure all information is up to date and consistent across platforms.
- Day 2: Research trending topics in your industry – Use tools like Google Trends.
- Day 3: Create a social media content calendar – Plan your posts for the next month.
- Day 4: Write a blog post – Focus on a topic relevant to your audience.
- Day 5: Schedule social media posts – Use tools like Tailwind or Hootsuite.
- Day 6: Engage with your audience – Respond to comments and messages on your social media platforms.
- Day 7: Analyse your social media performance – Look at metrics to see what’s working.
Week 2: Website and SEO Optimization
- Day 8: Perform an SEO audit of your website – Use tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush.
- Day 9: Update your website’s content – Ensure all information is current and relevant.
- Day 10: Optimize your website for mobile – Check loading times and mobile usability.
- Day 11: Create a new landing page – Focus on a specific product or service.
- Day 12: Research keywords – Find keywords relevant to your business using tools like Google Keyword Planner (you need a Google Ads account).
- Day 13: Write SEO-friendly content – Incorporate the keywords you researched.
- Day 14: Check for broken links – Use tools like Semrush to find and fix them.

Week 3: Email Marketing and Customer Engagement
- Day 15: Clean up your email list – Remove inactive subscribers.
- Day 16: Write a newsletter – Share updates, tips, and promotions.
- Day 17: Create a new button for your website to encourage people to sign-up to your newsletter.
- Day 18: Create an email marketing campaign – Plan and schedule emails for the month.
- Day 19: Personalize your emails – update your signature and add logos for your memberships and Certifications.
- Day 20: Set up an automated email sequence – For new subscribers or lead nurturing.
- Day 21: Analyse email campaign performance – Look at open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. What is working and what isn’t?
