Meet Dinah Liversidge

For nearly 30 years, Dinah has helped people build confidence, develop skills and achieve things they never thought possible.
Today, she combines that experience with her work as a celebrant to help aspiring celebrants build meaningful and rewarding careers.
As founder of the Celebrant Coaching & Training Academy, Dinah has trained and mentored hundreds of celebrants through award-winning programmes that combine practical skills, business knowledge and ongoing support.

A Career Built Around Helping People Grow

Many celebrants enter the profession through a love of ceremonies. Dinah’s journey was slightly different.
Long before she became a celebrant, she was already designing training programmes, coaching professionals, mentoring business owners and helping people navigate personal and professional change.
Her experience spans event management, professional development, business mentoring, keynote speaking and leadership training.
These experiences now form the foundation of every programme delivered through the Academy.

The Ceremony That Changed Everything

In 2009, Dinah’s beloved father-in-law, Alf, passed away. When her mother-in-law asked her to conduct his funeral, it was something she had never done before.
Determined to honour a man she loved deeply, she poured everything she had into creating a ceremony that truly reflected his life.
During the service, she looked across at her daughter Hannah and saw how deeply the words were connecting. Afterwards, friends and family encouraged her to consider celebrancy professionally.
What began as a deeply personal tribute became the beginning of a career helping people tell stories, celebrate lives and support others through some of life’s most significant moments.

Why I Started Training Celebrants

Several years later, after relocating to Wales, Dinah decided to undertake formal wedding celebrant training. The experience left her disappointed.
Whilst the course covered basic ceremony writing, it offered little guidance on building a business, attracting clients or developing the confidence needed to succeed.
She left believing aspiring celebrants deserved more. So she created it.
What began as a single training programme has evolved into an award-winning Academy that continues to be refined and updated year after year.
Today, students receive far more than celebrancy training. They receive practical guidance, business support and ongoing mentorship designed to help them build sustainable careers.

Meet Hannah

Behind the scenes, Hannah plays an important role in helping students get the most from their training experience.

Having worked alongside Dinah for much of her life and professionally supporting business owners and training organisations for nearly two decades, Hannah helps ensure students always have the support they need.

From training portals and resources to technical support, graduate meet-ups and website guidance, Hannah is often the person helping students navigate the practical side of their journey.

Student Feedback

“Hannah was so patient with me and has turned me into a fan of Google Drive.”

“I was a bit overwhelmed by the online portal but Hannah was so patient and I feel really comfortable with it now.”

“Tech is not my thing, but Hannah’s videos explaining how to use the resources made it all so simple.”

Life Beyond The Academy

Outside of training and celebrancy, Dinah enjoys life in West Wales with her husband John.
She is passionate about equality, inclusion, the environment, good coffee, motorcycles, conversation and cake.
The Academy may have grown significantly over the years, but the values that shaped it remain unchanged – helping people feel confident, supported and capable of achieving more than they thought possible.

Trusted, Accredited & Recognised

Students deserve training that is recognised, respected and built on genuine professional standards.
The Academy is proud to hold industry accreditations and awards that reflect its commitment to quality, inclusion and ongoing professional development.
